Contest geometry rests on a surprisingly small set of results. Angle relationships, triangle properties, congruence and similarity criteria, the inscribed angle theorem, and the Pythagorean theorem generate most of what a paper will ask for — the difficulty lies in recognizing which one a figure is hiding.

These articles cover those foundations properly, along with the errors that undermine them: assuming a diagram is to scale, confusing perimeter and area, and applying a theorem whose conditions aren’t actually met.
